In general, the criterion was supposed to be "metaphorical use in any
of the Loglan/Lojban source languages". Chrome, nickel, and neon all
have metaphorical uses in English (shiny metal, the U.S. 5 cent piece,
   fluorescent light).

What about alumin(i)um foil, Silicon Valley, Little Iodine, and
platinum blondes?

Also, it's hard to evaluate simply a list of element names without
understanding how you are going to express:

	platinum-osmium-iridium alloy
	hydrogen sulfide
	sodium bicarbonate
	nitrogen tri-iodide
	dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane
	ferric ammonium sulfate
	ferrous ammonium sulfate
etc.
