Actually, 3 times 10 to the 15th power is incredibly terse in Lojban:

        pa mu gei ci
        one five [scientific] three

The usual order is reversed, placing the order-of-magnitude first, to make
it easy to say numbers like "trillion":

        gei pa bi
        10 to the 18th power

or

        gei pa re
        10 to the 12th power
