The last two are identical -- "fi'o" is designed to supply the place of
a non-existent BAI, but of course there's nothing (except Zipf) preventing
you from using it to replace an existing BAI.

However, there is a difference between an event abstraction and an event
modal place. "le nu broda" is "the event of ..." whereas "le jai fau broda"
is "the event associated with ...". The event abstraction encapsulates the
entire bridi, whereas the event modal place specifies a distinct event which
is (in some vague way) associated with the main action:

fau le nu fagri kei ko porpygau le glaci
In the event of fire, break the glass!
