TECH: ma budjo su'u da tadni la lojban
The vague abstractor su'u has an x2 place to define the type of
abstraction in question. This is a working solution but seems to
be unnecessarily clumsy at times. A tanru structure seems to me
more appropriate - especially if x2 would be a simple descriptor.
In the tanru a modifier selbri would be used to define the nature of
the abstraction. So instead of
le su'u mi klama kei be lo fasnu
we would have
le fasnu su'u mi klama
for which
le nu mi klama
would be a natural abbreviation.
The tanru structure makes it possible to express quite complex
things easily and naturally:
ma vitno je jicmu su'u zasti
What is the Eternal and Fundamental Principle of Things?
Quite often we want to emphasize the exact nature of the abstraction
and not so much the object of abstraction. This makes the tanru structure
even more desirable in view of the limited number of predefined
abstractors.
