You are not supposed to edit quotes, otherwise it is impossible to tell
who did the editing.  Everything that appears in a line after the ">" is
not written by the current poster.  (I sometimes cut half-sentences out,
but never add anything.)

Yes, I agree. I'd say {mabru} is probably best for that.
