This is/was the original state, but as John pointed out in the MEX
paper, people will perversely not follow it, (as he then went on  to do in
the quadratic example in the same paper).

(polish), infix and postfix (reverse polish) all provided and even
mixable, with suitable cmavo. Beings with logical minds and large
short-term buffers will of course prefer either of the outer two, mere
humans will probably continue on a roll of hundreds of years and stick
with infix.
