RE: Punctuation proposals

I tend to agree with John, but more strongly. In any situation where there
are two ways of specifying something (structure, relationships, dates,
whatever) one of them will be wrong sometime. How many times have you seen a
notice of a meeting that said something like "Tuesday, 1 March 1993" and
then missed the meeting because it was on the Monday?
