The way I'd like to interpret it is as the extent to which the sumti
properly belong in the tersumti.  If you take the view that membership
of a category is not clear-cut but is a matter of degree, then I reckon
it should be {ni} that allows us to speak of such a degree.  Thus {lo ni
ti blanu} would, roughly, mean "how blue this is".

Just a suggestion.
