Books on their way!

John Cowan has sent 6 overseas autographed books out as of yesterday.
I am mailing somewhere between 40 and 70 books out today, all to US
purchasers.

For Eastern Hemisphere purchasers: I have identified another option for
shipping which you may wish to consider. I must get sufficient orders
to use it within a few days, so let me know if you are interested (this
applies to non-authographed books). DHL Worldmail ships packages to
Amsterdam and then remails them at significantly lower pstage rates.
These packages are not traceable once they leave Amsterdam, so we have to
self-insure (i.e. add some extra cost to the postage in case your order
is lost), unlike standard air or surface mail which I can have traced if
I pay sufficient fee.

The postage fee is $3.25/lb, which means that I think we can offer this
service for US$15, with expected shipping time of 2-4 business weeks,
probably on the lower end for European addresses. This is substantially
better than surface mail, which I have been told takes anywhere from 2
weeks to 3 months, but slower than airmail, which would take 1-2 weeks,
with a cost about intermediate. If we were to have as many as 20 packages
going viea this method, the rate would drop to $2.94/lb, saving about a
dollar per book which we would pass on to you, but I think there is little
likelihod that we can get that many orders without dealying everyones
order in order to contact you. As it is, I have around 20 non-US orders
packed and ready to ship pending decision on this.

If you have ordered from overseas, and would prefer to use this method,
p0lease let me know as soon as possible, since I will not hoild up the orders I
have more than a couple of days (while I pack the rest).

I am interested in knowing from various people when you get your books,
and of course feedback on the book quality is especially welcome.
